Leed prices on the contacts you identify. Not on seats, not on pages, not on traffic. There are four plans — Free, Starter, Growth and Enterprise — and the one your workspace is on is shown on Settings → Plans & billing, with a Current Plan pill on its card.
Free is a real, permanent tier. It is not a countdown, not a trial and not the absence of a plan: a new workspace lands on Free, can publish a documentation site on its own domain that day, and can stay there indefinitely. Everything below is written on that footing — what you add by moving up a rung, rather than what you lose by not.
The four plans
The ladder is ordered: free → starter → growth → enterprise. Access to a gated capability is a straight rank comparison — your plan’s rank has to be at least the capability’s minimum — so every plan includes everything the plan below it includes. There is no branching and no à-la-carte add-on.
Free — Run your docs site free forever — unlimited users and pages on your own domain, up to 250 contacts. This is the documentation product complete: the editor, real-time collaboration, AI authoring, your own domain, lead-capture forms, the menu builder, both MCP services, and aggregate analytics on a rolling 30-day window.
Starter — Start nurturing your audience: marketing email, the full per-reader funnel, and a bigger contact allowance. Starter is the rung where readers stop being anonymous traffic. You get marketing email, per-reader identity and history, a year of analytics, transcription and document text extraction, auto-linking, live documentation search, content-level RBAC, and the removal of the “Powered by Leed” badge from your published footer.
Growth — Run full marketing campaigns: planning, automation, and advanced analytics to optimize the funnel. Growth adds the campaign machinery on top of the audience: the campaign planner, configurable lead workflows, dynamic CTAs, short-URL tracking, the recommendation engine, and the funnel-grade analytics — media engagement, menu clicks and full-journey attribution.
Enterprise — Custom plan for mature organizations expanding account-based marketing practices and market share. Unlimited contacts, custom email volume, unlimited analytics history, and negotiated terms. Some capabilities listed on the Enterprise card are contractual or not yet built; Feature Availability by Plan is explicit about which.
What each plan costs
Free is $0. Starter is $250 / month. Growth is $1,250 / month. Enterprise is Custom — the price is negotiated, and its card carries a Contact sales button rather than a checkout button, so there is no self-service path onto it.
Prices are per workspace and are billed monthly through Lemon Squeezy. Nothing on any plan is metered per user, so adding a colleague never changes the bill.
The comparison table
| Plan | Price | Built for | Identified contacts | Marketing emails | Analytics history | Users & pages |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Running your docs site in public, free forever | 250 | — | 30 days | Unlimited |
| Starter | $250 / mo | Nurturing an audience: marketing email and the per-reader funnel | 1,000 | 5,000 / mo | 1 year | Unlimited |
| Growth | $1,250 / mo | Full campaigns: planning, automation and funnel analytics | 10,000 | 50,000 / mo | 2 years | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | Custom | Account-based marketing at scale | Unlimited | Custom | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Those four numeric columns are the whole quantitative difference between the plans. Everything else is a capability that is either on or off, and the three that are numbers — contacts, marketing email volume and how far back analytics reaches — each behave differently when you reach them; Usage and limits covers what “reaching” each one actually does.
The full feature list from each plan card
These are the exact lines the plan cards render on Settings → Plans & billing, in order.
| Plan | Card copy |
|---|---|
| Free | Unlimited users, templates, and pages · Custom domain · AI authoring · Lead capture forms (up to 250 contacts) · Operator and Docs MCP · Aggregate analytics (30-day window) |
| Starter | Everything in Free, plus — Up to 1,000 identified contacts · Marketing email (5,000 sends / mo) · Reader-level identity and scroll analytics · Release notes to email · Remove the Leed badge · 1-year analytics retention |
| Growth | Everything in Starter, plus — Up to 10,000 identified contacts · Marketing email (50,000 sends / mo) · Campaign content planner and multi-channel · Automatic social posting · Configurable lead workflows · Custom themes, layouts, and highlight themes · Dynamic calls to action · Short URL tracking and agent analytics · 2-year analytics retention |
| Enterprise | Everything in Growth, plus — Unlimited contacts and custom email volume · Account-based lead qualification · Cluster-based analytics · Custom syntax languages · CRM integration · SSO, RBAC, and audit · SLA and unlimited analytics retention |
Two of those lines are less precise than the product. The Growth line “Custom themes, layouts, and highlight themes” bundles three separate things with three different answers — naming your own documentation color or code theme is a Starter capability, the email-template and site-layout editors are Growth, and no custom layout is possible at any price. Several Enterprise lines name capabilities that have no surface in the product today. Both are set out row by row in Where this table and the pricing page differ.
What moves you up a rung
You move up as you nurture more contacts and turn on more of the growth engine — never by adding seats or hitting a traffic wall.
That is worth reading literally, because it rules things out. Users are unlimited on every plan, including Free. So are pages, templates, forms and form submissions. There is no per-editor price, no page-count ceiling and no charge for inviting someone.
The limits that do exist but are not plan limits — the 365-day maximum span of a single analytics query, upload ceilings, batch sizes — are collected in Limits that are not plan limits, so you can tell a “buy a bigger plan” wall from a “split this into two requests” wall.
Everything Free already includes
Free is not a demo. A Free workspace can run a real documentation site in public, with:
- Unlimited users, pages and templates, and your own custom domain.
- The full editor — real-time collaborative editing, AI authoring and the Leed Assistant.
- Lead-capture forms, form submissions, and forms used as general data collection.
- The menu builder, the standard themes and all three documentation layouts, and the built-in code-highlighting themes.
- Page scheduling and per-page access overrides — both governed by roles, never by plan.
- Aggregate analytics on a rolling 30-day window, with capture running on every plan so history is waiting the moment you widen the window.
- 250 identified contacts.
Both the Operator MCP and the Docs MCP are free on every plan, including Free — as are WebMCP and the A2A agent card. AI in Leed is the index of all five AI surfaces and none of them carries a plan badge. Free Plan and Trials has the complete in-and-out list, including the one Free consequence your readers can see: the Powered by Leed link in your documentation footer.
Every gated capability, with the rung it needs and what you actually observe below it, is listed in Feature Availability by Plan. Anything not on that list is available on every plan.
Trial is a status, not a plan
The ladder has exactly four rungs. A trial is not a fifth.
When you start a trial, you are subscribed to a paid plan whose subscription is in Trial status for its first 14 days. Your workspace holds that plan’s entitlements and that plan’s quotas for the whole trial — a Growth trial gives you Growth’s 10,000 contacts, not some reduced trial allowance. The billing screens show Trial as a status badge next to the plan name, in the same row that would otherwise read Active.
That distinction matters when you read the rest of these pages: statements about “your plan” mean the plan you are trialling, and statements about “your subscription status” mean Trial versus Active versus Past due. Free Plan and Trials covers how a trial starts, the one-trial-per-plan rule and how to leave before the first charge. If you want the five terms — tier, entitlement, feature, quota and subscription status — defined side by side, they are in the glossary, and the billing screens use all five.
Where your own plan is shown
Settings → Plans & billing is the single place your plan lives. It renders in three bands: your usage meters, then the four plan cards, then — only while a paid subscription exists — the subscription and payment tables.
The four cards are always rendered, on every plan, including Free. Your current plan carries the pink Current Plan pill and a non-interactive Your current plan placeholder where the other cards carry an action, so the page reads the same whether or not you are paying. Enterprise always shows Contact sales.
Choosing a plan, going through checkout and switching between plans all happen from those cards; Managing your subscription walks through each of them, and Invoices and payments covers the payment history below.
