Released April 10, 2026.
This release made internal links sturdier, put transcripts and extracted text to work inside the editor, and replaced the analytics date controls with a proper date range picker. It also fixed the CLI’s self-update on machines that only have Bun installed.
New features
Pasted links to your own pages follow the page
When you paste a link into the link dialog and it points at a page on your own site, Leed now links to the page itself rather than to its address. That works whether you pasted a relative path such as /about/team or a full URL on your site’s public domain, and an old address you kept as a redirect resolves to the page it now points at. Because the link refers to the page, it keeps working if the page’s URL changes later. Links to other sites are stored exactly as you typed them, with stray spaces trimmed.
The same link picker is now used everywhere the CMS asks for a link. The menu builder’s old link dialog was replaced with it, so menu items get the same conversion.

Insert transcripts and extracted text into a page
You no longer need to copy a transcript by hand. The settings dialog for a video or audio block now has an Insert transcript action, and when the link dialog is open on a document link it offers Insert extracted text. Either one adds the text directly below the asset as ordinary page content that you can edit and reformat. Formatting in the source text, such as headings and lists, becomes real editor blocks.
The action is disabled, with a tooltip explaining why, until the asset has text to insert. You can use it more than once, and each click inserts a fresh copy.

See extracted text on document assets
A document asset’s details now include an Extracted Content panel showing the text pulled from the file, the same way audio and video assets show their transcript. If nothing could be extracted, the panel says “No content extracted”.

A new analytics date range picker
The granularity dropdown and the back and forward arrows were replaced with a single date range picker, on both the Analytics page and the per-page analytics panel in the editor. It opens with preset ranges such as Today, Year to date, Last month and Last quarter, and a calendar for picking any start and end date. Turn off the Range checkbox to look at a single day.
A few details came with it:
- A range can cover at most 365 days, and the calendar grays out dates beyond that.
- Chart buckets are chosen for you from the length of the range: hourly for a single day, then daily, weekly and monthly as the range grows.
- Your selected range is remembered while you stay in the same browser tab, separately for the Analytics page and for per-page analytics.

Fixes
leed self-update works with Bun alone
leed self-update used npm to check for and install new versions, so it failed on machines where only Bun is installed, and the daily update check failed quietly there too. It now uses Bun for both.
